PT-141, also known as Bremelanotide, is a synthetic peptide and melanocortin receptor agonist. Unlike Viagra or Cialis, it works directly through the central nervous system to stimulate sexual arousal and desire rather than through vascular mechanisms.

Dosing Schedule

A common simple protocol used in laboratory studies is 1–2 mg of PT-141 administered subcutaneously as needed, approximately 45–60 minutes before desired sexual activity. It can be used on an as-needed basis with no cycling required. At 1.5 mg per use, one 10 mg vial will last approximately 6–7 uses.

Reconstitution Instructions

Each vial contains 10 mg of PT-141 in lyophilized (powder) form.

• Add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water for injection to the vial.
• Gently swirl (do not shake) until the powder is fully dissolved.
• This creates a concentration of 5 mg per mL.
• On a standard U-100 insulin syringe: 0.02 mL (2 units on the syringe) = 0.1 mg of PT-141. Therefore, for the 1.5 mg dose: draw 0.30 mL (30 units on the syringe).

Storage

• Unreconstituted vials: Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerator.
• After reconstitution: Refrigerate the solution and use within 30 days. Do not freeze.
