Dosing Schedule

A common simple protocol used in laboratory studies is 8 mg of KLOW per day, administered subcutaneously once daily Monday through Friday on a continuous (ongoing) basis with weekends off. At the recommended dosage, one 80 mg vial will last approximately 2 weeks when used 5 days per week.

 

Reconstitution Instructions

Each vial contains 80 mg of KLOW in lyophilized (powder) form.

• Add 1 mL of bacteriostatic water for injection to the vial.
• Gently swirl (do not shake) until the powder is fully dissolved.
• This creates a concentration of 80 mg per mL.
• On a standard U-100 insulin syringe: 1.3 units = 1 mg of KLOW. Therefore, for the 8 mg daily dose: draw 10 units on the syringe.

 

Storage

• Unreconstituted vials: Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerator.
• After reconstitution: Refrigerate the solution and use within 30 days. Do not freeze.
