Dosing Schedule

A common simple protocol used in laboratory studies is 2–5 mg of TB-500 administered subcutaneously twice per week (e.g., Monday and Thursday). Many researchers use 4–5 mg twice weekly for the first 4–6 weeks (loading phase), followed by a maintenance dose of 2–5 mg twice weekly. At 5 mg twice per week, one 5 mg vial will last approximately 1 week.

Reconstitution Instructions

Each vial contains 5 mg of TB-500 in lyophilized (powder) form.

• Add 2 mL of bacteriostatic water for injection to the vial.
• Gently swirl (do not shake) until the powder is fully dissolved.
• This creates a concentration of 2.5 mg per mL.
• On a standard U-100 insulin syringe: 0.04 mL (4 units on the syringe) = 0.1 mg of TB-500. Therefore, for the 5 mg dose: draw 0.20 mL (20 units on the syringe).

Storage

• Unreconstituted vials: Store in a cool, dry place or refrigerator.
• After reconstitution: Refrigerate the solution and use within 30 days. Do not freeze.
